Thank you, Mr. Skelton

In 1969, Red Skelton delivered the following talk about the pledge of allegiance. This video clip has apparently been making the rounds, but I thought I’d share it here as well. His closing words are especially on target–and cause for concern!

  1. I loved Red Skelton. He was one of the most gifted comedians ever, and a true patriot. I wish we had more like him these days.

    • Yes, they just don’t seem to make comedians like him anymore. Alas…
