Thursday Humor

It seems to be a perennial occurrence: Adults will talk about how young people have it so much better than when they were growing up. If you’ve ever felt inclined to lecture today’s youngsters about how spoiled they are compared with the members of your generation, keep in mind the hardships that these poor chaps had to endure:

So do you still want to complain about you had to walk 10 miles in the snow to school every day when you were a kid? 😉

  1. Ha! When I was younger, I swore I would never complain about how good the younger generation has it; and yet, sometimes I do. Ugh! Thanks for my weekly laugh, Evan. 🙂

    • LOL! I guess we just can’t resist the urge to gripe about today’s crop of slackers. I’m only 36 and I find myself wanting to grouse about these youngsters and how they’re lost in their own private world of texting and gadgets. Human nature…

  2. Oh yeah? Well we didn’t have a dad or a mom, why we weren’t even born, and we still had to work in the mill for eight days a week with electrodes attached to various digits to shock us every time we took a breath, and then we had to pay the electric bill …

    • Sounds like you can give those Yorkshiremen a run for their money! 😉

  3. Very funny.

  4. LOL!!!!! Thanks for the laugh, Evan’s Cove!! Lee..you are too funny!

    • Glad you liked it. It’s hilarious!
