Attention, All Cat Owners…

If you have a cat, please watch this video and take its message to heart:

In other words, guard your Christmas tree from your playful, but totally reckless, feline! (And if you’re a cat owner, you’ll know how true to life that little cartoon is.)

  1. I’ve had several cats over the years and know all to well the dangerous mix of cats and Christmas trees! LOL!

    • Yes, they love to swat, claw, and chew anything that jingles or rolls or looks colorful. But you gotta love ’em anyway. I miss having a cat around….

  2. This reminds me of the first Christmas we had our first puppy who merrily swallowed all the tinsel he could reach. We elevated the tree and took all the tinsel off to remove temptation. We found lots of tinsel in poop in the yard for several days! Moral: never trust a pet around a Christmas tree.

    • Yikes… tinsel in the poop… Very gross.

True, pets don’t see a holiday decoration; they just see something to play with or chew on.

  3. That’s hilarious! Thank God I’ve never had an indoor cat. LOL

    • Actually, we had a couple of indoor cats. The first one was declawed and couldn’t climb well at all, so she didn’t tear up our Christmas tree like the one in the cartoon. Our second cat actually behaved pretty well indoors, aside from kicking her kitty litter all over the floor and kneeding the rugs with her claws now and then. I think she may have tried playing with Christmas tree ornaments a few times but didn’t do any damage.
