Why Such A Dirty Trick, Santy Claus?

Well, it appears that Santa Claus is not above playing pranks on people–and he seems to have a malicious sense of humor, as this song (sung by Mel Blanc in his “Speedy Gonzalez” voice) demonstrates:

Or here’s a cute reworking of the song, by Anthony Salloum:

I guess the point is that if you want Santa to bring you any articles of clothing, make sure you specify the size! (Either that, or don’t do anything to get Santa ticked off with you, otherwise you might find yourself the victim of a Yuletide practical joke by the jolly old elf!) 🙂

I hope your Christmas season has been off to a good start. And to my Catholic friends, may you have a blessed and spiritually fruitful Advent as we prepare our hearts for the coming of the King.

  1. I didn’t watch the first video because my little one is sitting next to me, but the second one is cute. 🙂

    • The first one is ok. No crudeness or vulgarity, and it’s pretty funny, actually. But yes, the second one is really cute.

  2. They both are great renditions. Mel Blanc was a prodigious talent who brought laughter to many – a great blessing that still keeps on giving even though he’s gone.

    • Glad you enjoyed the songs. Mel Blanc had quite a talent. No wonder he was called the man of a thousand voices. 🙂

  3. I like the second one best. The children are great.

    • I know–it’s adorable. Glad you liked it!
