Sunday Snippets–A Catholic Carnival

Looking for Catholic blogs? Or are you a Catholic blogger looking for opportunities to showcase your own blog? Then visit “This That and the Other Thing” each week for “Sunday Snippets.”

Here are my blog posts from this past week:

I missed the previous installment of “Sunday Snippets,” so here are a couple of posts from that week as well:

Why does the same problem prompt wicked people to curse God but good people to praise Him? Saint Augustine says:

The same fire causes straw to smoke and gold to gleam. The same press threshes the grain and crushes the stalk. So, the same trouble worsens the wicked and improves the good. Consequently, the difference between the wicked and the good is not what they suffer but the way they suffer. Therefore, the same evil incites the wicked to deny God and stirs the good to pray to Him.
