Sunday Snippets–A Catholic Carnival

Looking for Catholic blogs? Or are you a Catholic blogger looking to showcase your site? Then join Rann at her blog “This That and the Other Thing” each week for “Sunday Snippets.”

My posts from this past week:

And this week’s bit of wisdom from St. Augustine:

Q: Why must we place all our hope in Christ?

A: At dawn the sun shines on the mountains. As the day progresses the sun lights up the lowest places on the earth. When Christ came, he first enlightened the Apostles, the mountains. They, in turn, illumined other persons, the sheltered valleys on the earth. If you want help, the great preachers, the mountains, will assist you. But they give only what they received from Christ, the Sun. Therefore, we must put all our hope in Christ alone.

    • Yes, it’s a very poetic way of putting things! 🙂
