And as I’ve done for the last couple of weeks, I’ll offer a thought from St. Augustine:

Suppose a physician heals a blind person so that such a person, for the first time, sees the light of day. What gift could the patient possibly give the doctor that would equal the gift of sight? Even gold would not be an adequate repayment for such a gift. What gift can we give the Divine Physician for curing our inner sight so that we can behold the Eternal Light of Heaven?
