And here’s a bit of wisdom from that wonderful ancient doctor of the Church, St. Augustine:
Q–How do we describe the peace we shall have in Heaven?
A–In this world we have a tw-fold peace from Christ, our Peace. First, we have peace within in so far as we live in conformity with God’s will. This peace is not complete because we experience the struggle going on between our lower nature and our higher nature. Second, we hav epeace with others when we mutually love others. Here again, the peace is not complete since we do not know another’s thoughts. In Heaven, our peace will be complete. For we shall have no internal discord; and we shall know the secret thoughts of others.
