St. Paul and Women

  2. I’m married with two daughters. I have no problem with Paul; if men followed Paul’s instructions, then women would have less reason to take exception to what Paul said to them.

    • You’re probably right! Paul emphasized the husband’s responsiblity to love their wives as Christ loves the Church. And that’s a lot of love!

  3. It was very helpful to hear that some of Paul’s writings were based on very specific circumstances, and therefore, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we should automatically apply his every word in every circumstance. Guidance from the Holy Spirit is key.

    Also, I think it’s important for young women to hear Fr. Mickler’s thoughts on spousal abuse with regard to Paul’s words. I will show this clip to my daughter. Thanks for sharing.
